Rapper Cardi B has handed out free winter coats to people at a public housing complex in New York.
Hundreds of people lined the streets near the Marlboro Houses in Brooklyn to meet the star, who grew up in The Bronx.
"I think she's unbelievable, and I think it's great she's doing this for the less fortunate," one fan told US media.
The event was organised by a local designer and friends of the 26-year-old star to help people in the community as winter approaches.
On her official Instagram account, Cardi B posted videos from the event, saying "we couldn't believe how big this was and how many people pulled up".
The rapper also said she hoped to organise something similar "in my borough next".
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, shot to fame last year after her first single for Atlantic Records, Bodak Yellow, reached number one in the US and was certified platinum.
