More details have been released about a new documentary focusing on the life of the late singer Chris Cornell, which is reportedly titled Like A Stone.

The Audioslave and Soundgarden frontman tragically passed away at the age of 52 in May 2017, and a movie about his life has been in the works for sometime now.

Brad Pitt, who was a close friend of Chris, is set to produce the upcoming documentary with his Film 45 production company.

Hell be working alongside the musicians widow Vicky Cornell, with Peter Berg set to direct.

Parts of the documentary are set to be dramatised, with Lauchlin MacDonald slated to play the late singer, according to Alt Press, and IMDB

Other actors that are tipped to appear include Drena De Niro, Adelicia Morris, Micah Fitzgerald and Sandeep.

It is yet not known what aspects of Chris life the documentary will focus on, although we will most likely be seeing him during his time as Soundgarden frontman in the 90s.

Soundgarden were one of the most influential grunge bands of the 90s, helping to popularise the music genre alongside fellow bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains.

Although the film has yet to be given an official release date, it will be reportedly be in cinemas in 2021.

Chris passing in 2017 devastated the music community, after he was found dead following a Soundgarden show in Detroit. The cause of his death was ruled to be suicide by hanging.

In a statement, widow Vicky Cornell said that her late husband wasnt himself during his final hours and she was heartbroken and devastated by his passing.
