Bill Cosby’s daughter, Ensa, has passed away at the age of 44.
Her death comes as her father awaits his retrial for rape and sexual assault allegations.
TMZ has reported Ensa passed away on Friday night in Massachusetts and while the cause of death is yet to be confirmed the website claimed she had kidney issues and ‘possibly was in line for a transplant.’
Bill was accused by over 60 women of sexual assault and harassment in 2015, and will face retrial in April after a hung jury was unable to reach a decision in 2017 on the alleged drugging and sexual assault of Andrea Constand.
Ensa supported her father throughout the allegations, releasing a statement last year that said: ‘My father has been publicly lynched in the media and my family, my young daughter, my young niece and nephew have had to stand helplessly by and watch the double standard or pretending to protect the rights of some but ignoring the rights of others.’
She added: ‘I strongly believe my father is innocent of the crimes alleged against him and I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal.’
