Comedian and actress Amy Schumer has been taken to hospital suffering from severe morning sickness.
The star was forced to cancel stand-up shows in Texas due to the pregnancy complication hyperemesis gravidarum, which causes severe nausea and vomiting.
She used Instagram to post a picture of her resting in her hospital bed.
"Texas I am so deeply sorry. I have been really looking forward to these shows. I have to reschedule. I am in the hospital," she wrote.
She said both her and the baby were fine, but that she was continuing to suffer adverse symptoms.
"Everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I've been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows," she wrote.
"Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls**t!"
Hyperemesis affects affects 3.5 per 1,000 pregnant women.
The Duchess of Cambridge was also affected by the condition.
Schumer, who starred and co-wrote the movie Trainwreck, and her husband Chris Fischer announced they were expecting their first child together in late October.
She announced the news in a low-key post on her friend's Instagram account that encouraged fans to vote for certain candidates in the US midterm elections.
