After news shocked us as it reverberated around the world that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidsons engagement was no more, were still not quite over it all.
However, its since emerged that perhaps this wasnt the first time the lovebirds, who showed no sign of cracks in the relationship, have split up.
Say what, you say?!
According to some pundits connected to the couple, the singer and Saturday Night Live comedian had split before – only those times, theyd gotten back together.
Seeing as they only confirmed they were a thing a few months ago, they really had a roller coaster ride of a relationship, didnt they?
They put on this front of being so happy but there were lots of fights and struggles behind the scenes, a source told People of the couple, who started dating in May, following Petes split with Cazzie David, and Arianas with the late Mac Miller.

They added: Theyve gotten into arguments and broken up before and got back together.
This source, which the publication has cited as being close with Pete said this might not even be the end for them – even though its been claimed Ariana has given back her glitzy engagement ring (but will keep their pet pig, Piggy Smalls).
Its definitely a fresh breakup, but they totally could get back together because who knows with those two, they said.
It comes after Pete even joked about their split, weeks before it happened.
The 24-year-old appeared on SNLs Weekend Update segment alongside Colin Jost on 29 September, the first show back of the season, and discussed his engagement to Ariana – the talk of the cast as they returned from summer hiatus.
Pete said of his then-fiancee: Shes the number one popstar in the world and Im that guy from SNL who everyone thinks is in desperate need of more blood.
He then joked about asking for a prenup, saying: God forbid we split up and she takes half my sneakers.
And he tempted fate even more by going on to discuss what would happen if they parted ways.

Pete said: You know, I dont even get royalties for that Pete Davidson song? Like, if we break up, and we wont — we will — but we wont. Im kidding.

But like in ten years if God forbid that ever happened, there will be a song called Pete Davidson like playing in speakers at K-Mart and Ill be working there.
Thats…not awkward. Not awkward at all.
