Mike Colter has apologised for his tweet about Ariana Grandes groping during Aretha Franklins funeral.

Just last week, the God Is A Woman songstress paid her respects at the ceremony where she sung the Queen of souls hit: Natural Woman.

Following her performance Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, who was leading the day, took to the stage and praised Ari for her talent.

However, he was called out by viewers when he put his arm around the 25-year-old and appeared to touch her breast.

At the time, Luke Cages Mike Colter seemed to make light of the situation in a now deleted tweet.

His fans were not impressed with the statement and slammed the star for his joke.

One wrote: Everyone has been commenting on how what the pastor did to Ariana was extremely inappropriate & here Mike Colter comes being dumber than a box of rocks with his commentary.

Another added: We can finally cancel Mike Colter.

Someone else commented: What a shame. Was a fan, and now Im just disgusted and disappointed.

Since then Mike has apologised for his actions where he claimed he would never condone what had happened.

He wrote: Hello all. I apologize about my tweet earlier. In no way do I condone any such behavior.

It was intended to point out the absurdity of the act itself. Complete and biting sarcasm. I realized quickly that it was not taken as such. I was at an event all day. Sorry for the delay.

The Bishop has also spoken out, where he too made an apology.

It would never be my intention to touch any womans breast… I dont know I guess I put my arm around her, he said.

Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again, I apologise.
