Unfortunately for Xbox One fans, Microsoft has announced plans to increase the price of Xbox Live.
At the present time Monthly subscriptions cost £5.99 for one month, £14.99 for three months, £29.99 for six months and £39.99 for a year.
But from May 8 Microsoft have revealed they will be bumping up the prices.
Monthly subscriptions will increase with £1, and three month memberships will go up by £3.
That means from next month you will have to pay £699 er month for Xbox Live, or £17.99 for three months.
You will also feel the pinch if you opt for a 12 month subscription, as it will increase to £49.99 per year.
This will feel like a huge increase to begin with, but when you think of it, it will cost £12 more a year for the monthly subscription.
According to Microsoft the price hike is needed “to address changing market conditions”.
The Microsoft statement continued: “To ensure gamers have consistent pricing for Xbox Live Gold across Europe we are making changes to UK pricing from May 8th.
“This new pricing is aligned to the changes we made in the region in 2016 as we strive to offer our members premium gaming and entertainment services at a fair price.”
If you already pay for Xbox Live Gold, you still have some time before the subscription price will increase.
Microsoft said: “All current subscribers will keep their current subscription fees for 90 days.
