Pokémon Go players have 23 new monsters to hunt down and catch in the game after the update was announced by Niantic.
The new third-gen additions are from the Hoenn region and while the specific pokémon haven’t been announced, catchers are already eagerly hunting them down.
Many of the new monsters are from the desert areas of the region, which means that most of them will be either ground, fire or rock types.
When are the new pokémon available?
The new pokémon are already available and out in the wild, ready for players to catch and add to their collection.
It is the first time these monsters have been available to catch on Pokémon Go.
Most of the new pokémon are being found in a variety of locations, but players suspect Torkoal may be a region-specific pokémon with most sightings currently from India and Malaysia.

An official line-up of the new monsters haven’t been announced, but there are many we already know players can keep their eye out for.
Many fans have been eager to get their hands on the very strong pokémon Aggron, but it is unlikely to available to catch in the wild and will instead be appearing as a raid boss.
