Despite the collapse of Telltale Games, The Walking Dead will continue on PC but youll only be able to get episode three and four from Epic.
The closure of Telltale Games has been one of the biggest video game news stories of 2018 but while its resulted in the loss of hundreds of jobs and the cancellation of several games, there is at least one silver lining: The Final Season will be completed.
Comic book creator Robert Kirkman has already announced hell step in to complete the final two episodes via his company Skybound Entertainment, and now hes done a deal with Epic Games Store to distribute the PC version.
Its a bit more complicated than that though as while the two episodes will be exclusive to Epic as standalone purchases if youve already bought a season pass elsewhere, such as on Steam, youll still be able to get them through that.

Console purchases will not be affected as this only relates to the PC version.
The third episode, entitled Broken Toys, will be released on January 15, and the fourth presumably a couple of months after that.
What, if anything, will happen after that is unclear as The Final Season, as the name suggests, was always intended to be the last featuring series heroine Clementine.
It may be that Kirkman gets a taste for publishing more of his own games but nothings been announced so far.
More: Gaming
As for the Epic Games Store, this is the latest in a series of exclusives that the developer of Fortnite have signed up, in their attempt to rival Steam.
Although the most enticing thing from a customers point of view is the two free games a month theyve promised throughout the whole of next year, and which currently includes the excellent Subnautica.
