LOS ANGELES – The Twilight Zone – the classic television anthology (1959 to 1964) blending science fiction, horror and fantasy in strange and troubling parables – often spoke in metaphor to the issues of its time.
And the revival of the series launched by Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele (Get Out, 2017) last year (2019) is no different – although the second season, now streaming on HBO Go, is airing at a time when real life might be as surreal as the show.
