Red Dead Redemption 2 is a hugely successful open-world game developed by Rockstar Games.
However, at the time of writing it is only available on PS4 and Xbox One which has left PC players wondering if the game will be coming their way.
So far, Rockstar Games havent mentioned anything about whether those who dont have a Sony or Microsoft console can expect a game soon.
In fact, as recent as this week during the Take-Two Interactive earnings call – which is the parent company of Rockstar Games for anyone who doesn't know – it was a topic of conversation.
Naturally given the huge success of the game, it was only a matter of time before someone asked about the possibility of a PC release in the future.
So keep reading for everything you need to know about a potential future release for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

Based on consumer demand and the success of the PS4 and Xbox One versions it wouldnt be too far fetched that a PC version could come.
If rumours are to be believed, a PC version could be on the horizon.
In mid-October the online retailer MediaMarkt listed a PC version of RDR2 on their website, with a placeholder date of December 31, 2019.
The listing was pulled, but this got rumours swirling.

Another sighting which caused PC gamers hearts to skip a beat was when a profile on LinkedIn listed credits as a programmer on the PC version of the game.
However, this was amended shortly after it received publicity.
An even more elaborate discovery was found in Rockstars RDR2 Companion App.
Data-miners found references to PC-quality graphics settings.

Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was not willing to comment on the possibility of a Red Dead 2 PC version.
When asked in a conference call about the chances of a PC version, he said: “In terms of ongoing releases, Rockstar will talk about what their intentions are going forward with regard to all upcoming products and that the same would hold true for platform.
“So, in this particular instance, I cant really give you too much clarity, apologies.”
If Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is going to happen, it will unlikely happen before the end the year.

It took Rockstar Games around six months to bring a PC version of GTA IV or GTA V to the table.
Considering this launch schedule, we are looking at an April/May 2019 launch date at best.
The size of the newest Red Dead game would undoubtedly mean it would make the waiting time longer.
Its unlikely we will get any more clarity on the subject anytime soon, as Rockstar is currently busy preparing for the release of the Red Dead Online beta later in the month.
