Today is Pokemon Day and that means plenty of special events have been revealed to help fans enjoy the occasion.
The day was set up to celebrate the first ever Pokémon game which was released in Japan in 1996.

Pokémon Day takes place on 27th February but a three day celebration is taking place for the occasion from 26th-28th.
As well as various new content across the many forms of Pokémon media, Pokemon Go players have also been treated to a special Pikachu becoming available to catch in the wild.
What is the festive Pikachu on Pokémon Go?
As part of the celebration, Pokémon Go is offering players the chance to capture special Pikachu’s that are wearing party hats.
Players can find Pikachu striped purple hat when hunting for Pokémon in the wild and it is now available to catch until Wednesday 28th February at 9pm GMT.
It will have a unique move called Present and players who catch it will receive triple stardust.

What else is happening on Pokémon Day?
Fans will also be able to use three new Snapchat lenses that feature Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle
To celebrate the occasion you will also be able to watch Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! on Pokémon TV for the first time.
The 2017 film is a reboot starting at the beginning when Ash first gets Pikachu as his pokémon, but it shows an alternate continuity to the main series.
The official Pokémon website has also put together a collection of some of the most memorable moments from the last 12 months to celebrate the occasions.
