The Pokémon Company may have revealed more than it intended with its new website, which seems to have given away some important new info.
A new official website in Japan has gone live that adds randomly chosen dynamaxed (giant) pokémon to any image you upload. Its a fun little promotion for Pokémon Sword and Shield but, like anything else, its already been datamined for secret info.
The pokémon that are used in the photos are half of the leak, as some were previously unconfirmed as coming to the new Galar region.
But thats not all, as one curious pokéfan on Twitter, abcboy101, wanted to have a closer look at the code behind the website.
He found that each pokémon had a specific codename, where the name of the picture isnt what the pokémon is called and, secondly, the number at the end seems to represent its evolutionary state.
So far:
– Scorbunny: Usagi1
– Sobble: Chameleon1
– Grookey: Gorilla1
– Yamper: Inu1
– Rolycoly: Sekitan1
– Wooloo: Wool1
– Corviknight: Gcommondori3
– Alcremie: Gcream2
– Morpeko: Pospika

For example, Sobbles code is Chameleon1, which suggests that the later evolutions might look more chameleon-like in nature, with the the 1 at the end meaning its the first stage of its evolution.

However, if we take a look at the pokémon Corviknights code its Gcommondori 3 – where the three at the end could identify this flying type pokémon as being at the third stage of evolution, meaning two stages come before it.
This means Grookey might evolve into a gorilla, Polteageist and Alcremie are second stages, and Corviknight is the third stage of our "common bird"
