When South Korean actor Kim Dong-hee got the script for teenage crime drama series Extracurricular, he found it "challenging to read".
The fresh-faced 20-year-old, who made his mark with schoolboy roles in Sky Castle (2018 to 2019) and Itaewon Class (2020), tells The Straits Times in an e-mail interview: "I was able to picture in my head everything the writer put into words and it felt like I was reading a difficult novel. I was very curious to see how the writing would translate on screen."
