The wait is officially over! Now NetherRealm Studios fans can fill their boots with the Mortal Kombat 11 Beta – well, with the content which is available at least.
NetherRealm explained: "Players participating in the closed beta will experience a preview of the all-new Custom Character Variation System, which will offer nearly infinite customisation options to personalise fighters with a variety Skins, Gear, Special Abilities, Intro and Victory Cinemas, Taunts and Brutalities.
"Gameplay modes offered in the closed beta will include online multiplayer matches, along with Towers of Time, a single-player mode where players can test their skills through various challenges, providing more ways than ever to continue the Mortal Kombat 11 experience.
Have fun with those fatalities!"

Today is the day, so get ready to test out Mortal Kombat 11's amazing features.
You won't be able to preload the Mortal Kombat 11 Beta, so players will have to patiently wait for the download to drop.
When asked whether there was a preload time, Warner Brothers Support tweeted: "You'll be able to start your download when the MK11 Beta officially begins. We suggest taking a look at this tweet for the start times in each region."

The countdown to the Mortal Kombat 11 Beta continues, but just as we are patiently twiddling our thumbs, NetherRealm Studios drops a new trailer.
The brand new Old Skool Vs New Skool Trailer, which you can see above, focuses on the time travel-themed story mode.
The awesome trailer takes a look at how older MK characters will brawl against their younger alter-egos.
It also confirms the return of Jax, Kung Lao and Liu Kang – get excited!

The countdown to Mortal Kombat 11 well and truly underway, but luckily there is a way to access it early.
Its 27 years after the Mortal Kombat franchise spawned, and title number 11 is due to be released on April 23, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
But before then a select number of people will be able to test out the games brand new story mode.
NetherRealm have now revealed plenty of information about what we can expect from the beta.

When is the Mortal Kombat 11 Closed Beta Release Date?
The Mortal Kombat 11 Closed Beta release date has been confirmed by NetherRealm.
It will go live from March 27 (or in some cases March 28) until March 31 (or in some cases April 1) on PS4 and Xbox One.
