Square Enix has finally revealed the release date for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be released on PS4 on March 3, 2020, it was revealed ahead of the Square Enix 2019 press conference.
During the press conference, Square Enix showed off an extended battle and gameplay sequence for the remake, to the glee of many fans.
The team also showed an extended version of the new trailer during the Final Fantasy concert.
In the trailer fans can see Cloud, Barrett and some other familiar faces during the Bombing Mission in Final Fantasy 7.
During our preview with Final Fantasy 7 Remake at E3, it was revealed by producer Yoshinori Kitase that the game will still be split into different 'episodes'.
The first, coming next year will be on two blu ray discs and focus on the Midgar portion of the original game. That said, it will still have as much content as any mainline Final Fantasy title.
Fans have been waiting for a release date since the game was first announced at E3 2015.
So now PlayStation fans will be able to breathe a sigh of release now that they know a firm date for when they can get their hands on the iconic game remake.
But the Xbox fans are unfortunately still left hanging. So…
Is the Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to Xbox One?
Considering the original Final Fantasy 7 game from 1997 only released on PlayStation, Xbox fans might have taken it as a given it would not come to Xbox One.
But there has been a slight glimmer of hope in the form of a games listing.
An online retailer may have leaked the facts that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to Xbox One.
