The countdown for Fortnite Season 7 is heating up and more details are starting to emerge.
Each season of Fortnite lasts around 10 weeks before it introduces a new Battle Pass, new character and weapon skins, loading screens and emotes.
Fortnite Battle Royale is now coming to the end of Season 6.
As previously predicted, the new season will be a Winter theme – just in time for Christmas.

When is the release date for Fortnite Season 7?
Epic Games has finally confirmed the release date for Fortnite Season 7.
The Winter Themed season will drop on Thursday, December 6 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PCs and Mac.
The news was confirmed when Epic Games revealed the next teaser for the new season.

The image confirmed what we already suspected – the new Battle Pass will bring snow and ice to the Battle Royale map.
Alongside the teaser the Fortnite Twitter account wrote: “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.”
Fans also got their first look at what looks like a new skin – An icy, hooded character with spikes coming out its head.
Keen-eyed fans may also have noticed a small figure on the poster who seems to be on skis.
An even smaller image of a skin on a zip-line can be seen on the poster – could this be a new form of transport?
What time will Fortnite Season 7 start?
Based on the Battle Pass in-game timer, the new season of Fortnite should be available early in the morning in the UK.
Season 6 should go down at the games usual patch time:
• UK – 8am GMT
• Europe – 10am CEST
• East Coast US – 4am EDT
• West Coast US – 1am PDT
After this time we can expect the dreaded downtime – the big update which should bring Season 7 to life.
Downtime usually lasts for around two to three hours, so expect the game to be ready a few hours later.
Keep in mind all the Season 6 challenges will be wiped out when Season 7 begins – so make sure you have unlocked everything you want.

What else do we know about Fortnite Season 7?
A winter theme is no surprise as we are heading up to Christmas, and a few things have been happening which hinted towards it.
For example, for a while now an iceberg with a castle tower on top has been drifting towards the map.
In addition, it seems to be bringing a winter storm with it – hinting to a theme heavily focused on snow and ice.
Also, as mentioned previously the poster for the new season hints to zip-line being a new form of transport.
