Fallout 76 DOWN: Server Status latest for PS4, Xbox and PC maintenance on April 2 (Pic: BETHESDA)
Fallout 76 is down this afternoon for the online-only multiplayer game whilst Bethesda sets to work releasing the games latest update for April 2nd.
The news was confirmed by the Bethesda Support official Twitter account, which last night told followers:
"#Fallout76 will be offline for maintenance Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:00am EDT. More information and updates will be provided here"
For those wondering this is a 4pm GMT start time for any players in the UK.
As with most Fallout 76 server downtime, no set time frame has been given for how long the game could be offline.
But based on past updates, it's usually for at least 2-3 hours.
Even then, you won't be waiting around for much, as Bethesda's Community Manager, Valseek, has already confirmed there will be no Fallout 76 patch notes released for today's update.
Further messages on the Bethesda Forum also provided a bit more information:
"Hi everyone, Starting at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 2, were planning to bring Fallout 76 offline across all platforms to perform maintenance and apply a hotfix. This update includes a fix for an issue that could cause the game client to crash and will also address an issue affecting the invulnerability effect applied to Survival mode characters after Fast Traveling or Respawning.
"We will let you know as soon as downtime begins tomorrow, and you can return to this thread for updates as maintenance progresses. Please note: There will be no patch notes following this update. Thank you very much!"
So yes, there won't be any new patch notes from today's update so don't expect anything too extensive.
