Blizzard is due to start BlizzCon 2018 later today.
The company – most well-known for its Diablo, Overwatch, Hearthstone and World of Warcraft series – is due to make a fair few announcements today.
From new Overwatch heroes to new expansions for other games, Blizzard is expected to be quite busy – but what time is it all kicking off, and what can we expect from Blizzard in its biggest event of the year?

Blizzcon 2018 – When does it start?
Blizzcon 2018 will begin after the opening ceremony and will continue until Saturday, November 4. The opening ceremony starts at 11am PDT, and if previous years are anything to go by we can expect it to last about an hour.
That means you can tune in to watch the Blizzcon 2018 opening ceremony from 6pm GMT.
You will be able to tune in and watch the Blizzcon 2018 opening ceremony on Youtube, Twitter and Facebook – and you can find it embedded in this page, too.
Blizzcon 2018 – Virtual Ticket
To celebrate BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard is giving anyone that purchases the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket a special Diablo-inspired Sombra skin.
To unlock the skin, you'll need to purchase a Virtual Ticket to Blizzcon 2018.
This will set you back £34.99 and will allow you access to the opening ceremony, various eSports streams, pre-show videos, live panels, community night and the closing night event.
You also get access to the BlizzCon 2017 archive, a discount on the BlizzCon goody bag and the ability to vote on potential BlizzCon panels, as well as future (currently unannounced) bonuses in World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm, and Hearthstone.

Blizzcon 2018 – Diablo 4
One of the most exciting things fans are expecting is a formal reveal of Diablo IV – though Blizzard seems to be tempering expectations on that front already.
In a recent update, the developer noted:
“BlizzCon 2018 is almost here, and weve seen a lot of rumours flying around about our plans for Diablo at the show. These are very exciting times—we currently have multiple teams working on different Diablo projects, and we cant wait to tell you all about them . . . When the time is right.
“We know what many of you are hoping for and we can only say that “good things come to those who wait,” but evil things often take longer. We appreciate your patience as our teams work tirelessly to create nightmarish experiences worthy of the Lord of Terror.
“While we wont be ready to announce all of our projects, we do intend to share some Diablo-related news with you at the show.”
The first Diablo panel – titled Diablo: What's Next – will take place at 7.30pm this evening.

Blizzcon 2018 – Overwatch
Overwatch hero rollouts are infamously unpredictable – sometimes (like in the case of Sombra) we'll see a protracted, drawn-out release with weeks of hints, teases and even alternate-reality games.
Other times – like with the release of Hero 28, Wrecking Ball – we'll see a surprise announce and release within thee week. It's always hard to call it.
Some theories suspect that Hero 29 will be the Queen of Junkertown – a hero designed to complement the likes of current Junkertown mainstays Junkrat and Roadhog.

Blizzcon 2018 – World of Warcraft
There will be a dedicated World of Warcraft Classic panel at BlizzCon 2018.
Blizzard has released the schedule for the live show, where it has announced that on Saturday 3rd November, it will be hosting a special panel all about creating the Classic version of the game, and how the team has gone about 'restoring history'.
Called Restoring History: Creating WoW Classic, the panel focuses on the development of the anticipated Classic game.
"Hear from the World of Warcraft developers as they discuss their journey to recreate the classic WoW experience," reads the description.
