Suspected Fallout 76 cheaters have been well and truly schooled by Bethesda

Bethesda has given suspected Fallout 76 cheaters the chance to redeem themselves and appeal their respective account bans – if they write an essay on why cheating is bad.

Actually, in their words, the piece should ask why the use of third-party cheat software is detrimental to an online game community.

Bethesdas unconventional, albeit stroke of genius, approach was sent to users emails who had lost their accounts after they were suspected of using a third-party application.

Popular gaming YouTuber JuiceHead revealed in his latest video that most bans appeared to have stemmed from the aid of either memory editor, Cheat Engine, or post-processing tool, Reshade.

Mic drop!

The plea has been confirmed by Bethesdas community leader under the account Gstaff, who said the team would elaborate once the festive holidays have ended.

They explained: We do not want players exploiting the game in ways that provide a competitive advantage or negatively impact the servers & gameplay experience of other players.

However, many players have complained that theyve still been banned for using simple mods which dont even give them a leg up. Although, If you fall under that umbrella, Gstaff assured you would not need an essay for this.
