Apple announced its Media Event a fortnight ago, which is happening later today.

The massive technology firm will begin its keynote at 10am local time, which is 5pm GMT for everyone in the UK and it's expected that Tim Cook and friends will announce a new media-service – potentially rivalling Netflix and Amazon with their content.

It's going to be one hell of a show, all taking place from Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.

As mentioned, the main bulk of the show will likely be dedicated to this new media offering. And reportedly Apple has been busy filming over ten shows.

From Steven Speilberg's 'Amazing Stories' reboot to Jennifer Aniston & Reece Witherspoon's project, there are many varied projects in development.

With Netflix currently readying Season 3 of The Crown, which now stars Oscar-winner Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, alongside Amazon and their upcoming Lord of the Rings series, all eyes are on what Apple will be pricing this service.

£9.99 seems to be the rumoured price for the service, which would enable the TV.app on your iOS device to be offering these shows when they're ready.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook has been pushing the 'Services' department of the $1 Trillion company since 2014, which began when they bought Dr Dre's & Jimmy Iovine's 'Beats' business for over $2 Billion.

Another aspect will be Apple News.

Since acquiring 'Texture', a magazine-subscription service, all eyes have been on whether these two offerings would merge, and it seems like this will be the case tomorrow. A service, much like 'Readly', you can sign up and you will be able to subscribe to newspapers and magazines for a price.

This will also be baked into the latest iOS 12.2 update, which will bring about updated versions of the aforementioned apps, but another question will be, whether it will be available just for USA Read More – Source
