Fortnite Week 5 Challenges LIVE: Gas Stations, Anarchy Acres and brand new Shotgun UPDATE
FORTNITE CHALLENGES UPDATE 1
Normally with a Thursday the game would undergo some form of server maintenance, however, it doesn't appear as though any big update is going to be forthcoming for the game this week.
Perhaps with so many of the team at the Games Developers Conference, it just wasn't practical.
Initially, the Fortnite Twitter team had said:
"The v3.3.1 update releases March 22, bringing the Heavy Shotgun to Battle Royale and the Flame Grill Floor Trap to Save the World. We'll be sure to give you a finalized time soon."
However, early this morning they also told fans that "The Heavy Shotgun releases tomorrow, March 22 at 8am ET (12:00 GMT). There will be no downtime and no update required."
Sometimes, there's a long wait to start the new weekly challenges while the downtime finishes. But it doesn't look like that'll be the case this week. So hold onto your hats, those new challenges aren't far away!

ORIGINAL STORY – Fortnite Batte Royale players are gearing up for another week of new challenges to complete following the usual Thursday update to the game, which is getting underway at 9am GMT tomorrow morning.
There's a lot of new Fortnite Battle Royale players this week, thanks to the launch on iOS mobile and tablet devices.
So, for those of you new to the Battle Royale game or simply confused by how the whole weekly challenges work, here's a quick explanation.
Each week a new set of seven challenges unlock, replacing the Season 2 Battle Pass daily challenges. The Weekly Challenges stack and can be completed any time before the season ends.
So if you go on holiday and miss one week, you can still complete them when you get back.
Although there are seven challenges each week, you can only complete four out of the seven Weekly Challenges to unlock your rewards, so choose the challenges that best fit your style and those offering the most Battle Stars.
Why complete the challenges? Well, it helps you move up the Season 3 Battle Pass tiers even faster in the game. Move up faster, unlock more rewards, skins and other bonuses is quicker.
There are a total of 100 tiers in Season 3, so if you want to unlock as much loot as possible you better get a shift on and get to work completing the challenges.
Stay tuned and we'll bring you details of the new Season 3 Week 5 challenges the second they are announced.

I want to get everything right away. Since there are more levels in Season 3, isn’t it going to cost more to buy my way to the end?
Yes, it does. For the first 70 tiers you’ll receive 70 items, just like last season. The added 30 tiers in Season 3 offer more loot than before. We have designed the boosts and challenges so you can complete the 100 tiers of the Season 3 in the same time that it took you to complete the 70 tiers of Season 2.
