World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth COUNTDOWN: Release date times, Server download news

World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth Screenshots

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is the upcoming seventh expansion set in the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft.

If you haven't downloaded the pre-patch that was released last month (you can read more about that here) you can expect a pretty hefty download time, and there's more content for you to get through ahead of the actual new expansion, too.

Ahead of the expansion's launch, Blizzard has been drip-feeding the playerbase news on what they can expect from the new content – starting with the Druvstar zone – a new area coming to the game with the DLC.

Drustvar is part of the Alliance starting area on the island of Kul Tiras, but other than that we don't know too much about it.

Here's what Blizzard has to say about the new zone:

When first arriving in Drustvar, youll be greeted by a dark and foreboding shoreline on the eastern border. Drustvar is a rugged land plagued by superstition, and signs of witchcraft are everywhere. The pathways through Glenbrook to Fallhaven are fraught with danger, so youll need to stay on your guard. Dark rumors swirl as to what may have befallen the Waycrest family—and if the Alliance has any hope of convincing the Kul Tirans to join them, youll need to untangle the mysteries that lay ahead.

You can head over here to see more from the new area, courtesy of Blizzard.
