The game is the third release for the Tomb Raider reboot that started in 2013 and it is the twelfth game overall for the franchise that first launched in 1996.

It includes many of the same gameplay mechanics from the previous games but with the addition of a new barter system that lets players trade with vendors to get weapons and various other resources.

Swimming in the game has also been updated as well as the ability to rappel down cliffs.

When is the Shadow of the Tomb Raider release date?

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 14 September 2018.

Players can choose between a standard edition, steelbook edition, digital deluxe or Croft edition.

How to pre-order Shadow of the Tomb Raider

You can pre-order a digital copy of the game through your PlayStation or Xbox store or on Steam for £44.99

Fans of the franchise can also buy it through various retailers including Game and Amazon for £49.99.

Players who pre-order the digital deluxe edition or croft edition of the game can get 48 hour early access.

What are the versions of the game?

The standard version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider is available for around £44.99 and it includes just the base game, or players can get a steel-book edition for around £54.99.

A digital deluxe version is also available with an additional weapon/outift and the original game soundtrack.

Players can also buy a Croft edition which includes the same as the digital deluxe version as well as a season pass for the game and additional weapons/outfits.
