Rockstar Games confirmed earlier this year that there will be an online mutliplayer mode added to the game that is set to work in a similar way to GTA Online which has been a big success.

It has been described as an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways.

Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption II as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

Rockstar has yet to reveal exactly when the multiplayer mode will be available, but a public beta is set to be released in November.

It is likely to follow a similar route as GTA Online and it may take some time to get the multiplayer mode running smoothly.

It will be available for free to all console players with a copy of the main game.
