Fortnite has teased a new High Stakes event that is set to launch next week with a collection of new additions to the game.

As well as new skins and other cosmetic items, players can also expect a new limited-time game mode and special challenges.

Although some of the details were revealed during a Twitch live stream, a lot of information about the event is still unknown.

Here is what we know so far about what players can expect from High Stakes.

What is the High Stakes event?

The High Stakes event will provide a new Wild Card outfit that players will be able to buy from the item store and they are set to have 4 unlock-able head styles with different mask designs.

It will also include an safe cracker glider, cuff case backbling and a crowbar pickax, as well as new challenges that players can complete to earn rewards.

A new LTM called Getaway will also be added to the game, but players will have to wait for the next stream later today to see a preview of the gameplay.

The final known addition will be a new item called the grappler which has been expected in the game ever since it was teased several months ago.

Exact details of the grappler havent been revealed yet but more information could be given over the next few days.

What else is changing in Fortnite?

As well as the new updates and additions to Fortnite, Epic Games will also be vaulting another weapon with the vault set to disappear from the game.

Another new concept coming soon will be storm damage which will see the storm that closes in on the map start to destroy player built structures in the final stages of the game.

Shields will also be stack-able in sets in threes and boogie bombs will drop from chests as a stack of 2.
