Aaron Carter has had a restraining order filed against him by his brother, Backstreet Boys alum Nick Carter.
This comes after Aaron, 31, reportedly bought a gun, assault rifle and ammunition from a pawn shop earlier this month after inheriting his fathers weapons collection.
According to the temporary restraining order, which has been obtained by TMZ, Aaron will have to stay at least 100 feet away from his brother, as well as his brothers wife, children and other family members.

Nick, 39, has taken to Twitter to explain his actions, saying: After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today.
In light of Aarons increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbours thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.

We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.
Aaron meanwhile has denied Nicks allegations, Tweeting: I am astounded at the accusations being made against me and I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family.
He added: This is obviously a chess game of some sort.
He also later threatened legal action of his own, writing: All I ask is for my family to leave me alone. This is blood. Not love. I will never be around you and I dont want to be around you. I am the one who said Im done then you send me this!? Ok. Stop trying to get me 5150d before I file a harassment suit myself nick I have the $.

All this comes after it was revealed that authorities wont be restricting Aarons access to the guns in his possession despite his familys fears.
A law enforcement source told TMZ: Until a court, board, commission, judge or other lawful authority determines Aaron suffers from a mental illness or condition that causes him to be a danger to himself or others, he can keep his guns.
Aaron has previously revealed that hed been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
