President Donald Trump called the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh a “hoax,” saying they were “all made-up. It was fabricated.”

Trump was asked about Kavanaughs Supreme Court confirmation process on the White House driveway by reporters. The president did not hold back while explaining how he thought Democrats had handled the unfounded sexual misconduct allegations against his SCOTUS pick. Trump did not name any of the Kavanaugh accusers by name but attacked their allegations as made-up.

“So, Ive been hearing that now theyre thinking about impeaching a brilliant jurist — a man that did nothing wrong, a man that was caught up in a hoax that was set up by the Democrats using the Democrats lawyers — and now they want to impeach him,” Trump said.

Trump went on to call all the allegations “fabricated.”

“I think its an insult to the American public,” Trump said, “The things they said about him — I dont even think he ever heard of the words. It was all made-up. It was fabricated. And its a disgrace. And I think its going to really show you something come November 6.”

Trump continued, “When you mention impeaching a Justice of the United States Supreme Court who was the top scholar, top student, top intellect, and who did nothing wrong, and there was no corroboration of any kind, and went through seven FBI investigations, had nothing to do with any of this stuff…”

Kavanaugh was sworn onto the Supreme Court Saturday afternoon after his successful confirmation vote.
