Tom Holland is going to take a break from Instagram, after revealing that the app is taking over his life.
The Spider-Man actor has a jaw-dropping 31 million followers on the picture sharing platform, but wants to curb his social media use in the future.
I know all about Instagram, I like Instagram but I am going to delete my Instagram, he told GQ as part of their Actually Me video series.
However, Toms fans neednt worry, as the star wont be going cold turkey on social media anytime soon.
Not like get rid of [it], he clarified. Im going to delete the app because I need to take a break from social media.
Its taking over my life a little bit, its going.
Very sensible, Tom.
Its been quite the couple of months for the actor, who has been the subject of much discussion after fans hearts across the world broke as Tom was reported to be dating a family friend.
This news was pretty swiftly followed by the heartbreaking announcement that Spider-Man would be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Sony and Disney failed to reach a financial deal.
And while Tom had said that a potential return was up to Sony to decide on, chairman Tony Vinciquerra explained that that particular door was definitely closed for good.
Spider-Man was fine before the event movies, did better with the event movies, and now that we have our own universe, he will play off the other characters as well, he said.
