Tiffany Haddish has offered a pretty reasonable explanation for that controversial performance in Miami this week.

The Girls Trip actress was heckled and booed while delivering a stand-up routine at the James L Knight Center on New Years Eve, with some audience members even walking out of the performance. However, Tiffany explains that her awkward set was simply due to her being exhausted after a seriously busy year.

Addressing the disastrous show, the 39-year-old told TMZ: You can definitely perform without a script but your brain is an interesting thing, sometimes when it doesnt get the right amount of rest.

Youve got to understand, Ive worked almost every single day last year. Ive only been home a grand total of 40 days total, Ive slept in my bed a grand total of 28 days. I worked all the way literally up until New Years. I get out to Miami, I want to try to celebrate artist greatness and I might have went a little bit overboard.

I went to go see if @TiffanyHaddish was actually funny. I ended up doing this. Conclusion: She is not funny. Horrible show. In her defense, she said she was having a rough night. She didnt have to be up there. She ended up inviting me up on stage to tell jokes. ??‍♂️? pic.twitter.com/Ze1BPzeY9S

Tiffany shot to fame in the critically-acclaimed comedy Girls Trip in 2017 before starring alongside Kevin Hart in the box office hit Night School in 2018.

Referring to her blockbuster success, Tiffany continued: I think people should get on-stage and try it themselves at least 10 times and see where you end up.

See if you end up in two number one comedies that make over $100 million in two years. Lets see if you could do that. It takes a lot of work to get to where I am. It aint easy.

Tiffany admitted that she probably shouldnt have turned up before hitting the stage but said it was still a great experience which shes learned from.

Although the comedian added: But Im going to try my best for it to not happen again but it might.
