Finally, more information about The Last Of Us Part II is coming, but a release this year is highly unlikely.

A press event for The Last Of Us Part II is set to be held in L.A. on 24 September, which means theres only two more weeks to go until we get to see more on what is one of the most highly anticipated titles of the past few years.

Very little has been revealed about the game so far, despite earlier hands-off demos, but this new event could see a release date finally being announced.

If you are hoping for this year it is looking extremely doubtful, while spring-time next year is also questionable as other high profile titles are releasing at the same time, such as Final Fantasy VII Remake and Cyberpunk 2077.

Ashley Johnston, the voice actor for Ellie, seemed to hint at a potential February release date a while back, but unfortunately she was interrupted during an interview before she could finish the sentence that we all wanted to hear.

The event flyer above was tweeted by Geoff Keighly, which immediately hyped up The Last Of Us fans – especially when the vice president of Naughty Dog responded, regarding Keighleys cameo in Death Stranding.

The last time we heard about The Last Of Us Part II was from a GameStop event, where managers attending were treated to never-seen-before gameplay footage, which sadly has yet to be made public.
