Sony may have skipped E3, but thanks to the announcement of Death Stranding's release date shortly prior they were definitely on people's minds at the show.

Of course, PlayStation 4 has been pumping out quality exclusive games including God Of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Spiderman and plenty of others.

There are still two big ones that haven't got release dates, and though we have no idea when to expect Ghost Of Tsushima we do now have another report suggesting The Last Of Us Part 2 will launch in early 2020.

Word on website A9VG from a user called "Agentkicker" (and corroborated by trusted insider ZhugeEX) is that Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic sequel will launch in February 2020, and will be available in four different editions.

It's worth noting that "Agentkicker" correctly predicted (or knew) the release date for Death Stranding prior to its big reveal.

There'll (allegedly) be a standard edition, a special edition, a collector's edition, and something called the Ellie edition. For the time being, we don't know what'll be included in each one.

This dovetails nicely with earlier reports about a February release date as well as a slip from Ellie's voice actress just last month.

One of the industry's most respected reporters, Kotaku's Jason Schreier confirmed that he'd heard reports of the game being pushed from November 2019 to February 2020.

Writing on Twitter Schreier told followers:

"Looks like Death Stranding is about to get announced for a November release. The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4"

More recently Ellie's voice actress Ashley Johnson was discussing the title and her character in an interview on the Critical Role channel.
