The Division 2 Update is dropping this morning and following a brief stint of downtime and server maintenance, the games new 'Invasion Battle for D.C' update will arrive.

As most agents likely know by now, the update will introduce a full wealth of new content to get your teeth stuck into.

The second you drop into the game will be met with a brief radio call informing you of developments nearby that require your attention. Completing this new side mission unlocks the Tidal Basin Stronghold.

And from there it's all uphill.

A new world tier will unlock – World Tier 5, with a new gear score cap to 500. Heroic difficulty will also be available, alongside three new gear sets—Ongoing Directive, True Patriot, and Hard Wired.

As if that wasn't enough, as soon as you've completed Tidal Basin, Coordinator Manny Ortega at the Base of Operations will have intel on surrounding Black Tusk operations in D.C and new weekly Invaded Missions.

This is all set to begin at 8.30am this morning when servers go offline to roll out the new update. Ubisoft say official patch notes will become available soon after.

But if you want a quick preview of what's to come, you can check out some of the already confirmed changes just below. Stay tuned, we'll update you as soon as the new (and we imagine quite extensive) Patch Notes drop.

    • Sniper Turret has been reworked

    • You will have a button above an enemy and the Turret will then shoot that NPC and it will automatically track it.

    • When you aim at the same NPC you can also specifically control where the shot will go (headshot or weakpoint etc)

    • That should make the Sniper Turret more accessRead More – Source
