Nintendo Switch Lite

Have you had any problems with your Switch Lite?

Nintendos new Switch Lite console still suffers from the same Joy-Con drift problem as the regular model, despite assumptions it would be fixed.

The Switch Lite only came out last Friday and gamers have already posted videos online that show that Joy-Con drift is still a problem. Which is surprising because the Switch Lite doesnt even have Joy-Cons, so the issue must be more fundamental to the way the controllers work.

The problem was bad enough on the original Switch that owners in the U.S. set in motion a class action lawsuit against Nintendo. Although UK fans were outraged that while in the U.S. Nintendo offered to make free repairs they refused to do the same in Europe.

Whether theyll charge for fixing the Switch Lite is unclear but you will have to send the whole console off to Nintendo to fix it, instead of only the Joy-Cons, which is much more inconvenient.

@SpawnWaveMedia so I think I may have the first case of joycon drift in a Switch Lite and all I've done is marathoned Link's Awakening. I love this console so much but this is bumming me out. Is this how joycon drift manifests? Or is this another (less worrying) isolated defect? pic.twitter.com/96wvziGzTq

A thread on Reddit is shedding light on how the controllers function and it seems as if the quality of the components is to blame. It seems a specific part on the analogue controllers is degrading faster than intended and is below the standards required for handheld use.

If thats true, and drift is caused by the quality of materials used, then thats going toRead More – Source
