A masked man has been arrested on suspicion of stalking outside Taylor Swift's home in Beverly Hills, police have said.

Julius Sandrock, 38, was taken into custody while wearing rubber gloves and a mask.

Officers said they found a knife, rope, ammunition and more masks and gloves in his car on Saturday.

Ms Swift was not at the LA property at the time, as she currently lives in New York.

Sandrock told police in California that he owned three handguns and said he was on probation in Colorado, where he lives and had driven from, for firing one.

Police also found prescription medications, including oxycodone, and Sandrock said he has depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and "manic episodes", according to the temporary restraining order officers filed.

He was banned from possessing guns in the temporary order.

Sandrock was released from custody on Tuesday amid a continuing investigation.

More from Taylor Swift

It follows the arrest of a homeless man on 8 April outside Ms Swift's Beverly Hills home.

Justin Lilly, 23, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after trying to climb the wall. He was charged with a misdemeanour and sentenced to three days in jail.
