Sam Raimis suit has finally arrived in the game (Picture: Insomniac)

Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 has received a new update which includes the suit from Sam Raimis original film trilogy.

Insomniac Games announced the suits arrival as a special holiday gift surprise on Twitter, commenting on how it was one of the most highly requested suits by players.

You dont have to wait around for the costume either as its available now for free – so web forth and channel your inner Tobey Maguire.

Sam Raimis first Spider-Man film released in 2002, with the superior sequel featuring Alfred Molinas Doctor Octopus arriving in 2004 (well just ignore the third one).

It isnt the only film-based suit to arrive in the game, with Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse also set to be celebrated with a special outfit which arrives with the final DLC pack.

The games final DLC titled Silver Lining will revolve around character Silver Sable aka Silver Sablinova, with fresh missions, challenges and three new outfits.

The next DLC pack is the third act in The City That Never Sleeps trilogy, which was preceded by The Heist and Turf Wars.

Spider-Man DLC Silver Lining releases on 21 December.
