Shiny Duskull Pokemon GO News: How to catch Shiny Duskull, Dusclops during Halloween Event (Pic: NIANTIC)
Pokemon GO Developers Niantic have just launched a brand new Psychic event that started last night.
However, it's largely accepted that Niantic will also bring back the games annual Halloween inspired ghost event in a couple of weeks time.
In fact, a recent Pokemon GO newsletter has recently teased the events return announcing:
"Prof. Willow has reported a wave of frights and scares nearby. Could this be the work of a Ghost-type Pokémon? Stay tuned to find out."
So that's as good as confirmed then.
And assuming all goes to plan, it means trainers have increased odds to catch one of the games pre-existing Shiny Pokemon – Duskull!
By definition, this also means that Duskull's evolved form, Dusclops, will also be available in its shiny form.
Keep reading for everything you need to know if you want to add this particular shiny to your dex!
At the time of writing, it's not entirely clear how many ways players will have to encounter a shiny Duskull during any forthcoming Pokemon GO Halloween event.
As such, it's impossible to say exactly how limited your chances will be to encounter the Shiny ghost in the game.
For those wondering though, it's not possible to encounter a Shiny Dusclops in the wild. So, you'll have to cross your fingers you encounter enough Duskull Pokemon so that you can find the shiny.
To try and make things easy we've broken down all of the potential ways you might be able to encounter a Shiny Duskull.
Also, this goes without saying but when you do find that Shiny Shuppet you will need 50 candy to evolve it into Shiny Dusclops.
Duskull is not currently hatching from any eggs. So that rules that option out.
At the time of writing, Duskull and Dusclops cannot be encountered in Raid battles. So that rules that option out.
In the Wild:
Duskull should be quite common during the Halloween event and this will likely be your best bet if you want to encounter a shiny.
According to Silph Road research, there's about a 1/450 chance of encountering a Shiny Pokemon in the wild. It's worth noting that your chances will reduce once the event ends.
To boost your chances, head over to the Silph Road Global Nest Atlas to find your nearest Shuppet nest, because obviously, the more you encounter, the higher your odds.
Halloween Field Research?
Assuming that we get a 2018 Halloween event (which seems fairly likely) it's quite likely there will be some special field research. In which case, there may be increased chances of finding a shiny by completing the field research.
But obviously, </span>like eggs, it's a lot more effort when compared to simply finding a nest and catching one in the wild.
