Sam Smith uses a secret Whatsapp group to critique McDonalds menus from all across the world.

The international hitmaker turned part-time food critic, revealed he and his friends review everything from Big Macs to Double Quarter Pounders. In fact, he thinks so highly of the global fast food brand that he thinks they should have a Michelin star.

He revealed: I had to sample the double quarter pounder yesterday because its new. I love McDonalds I have a Whatsapp group where we compare McDonalds around the world because its different everywhere around the world. It should have a Michelin star.

But the Too Good At Goodbyes singer is not a big fan of the new spicy nuggets, giving them a six out of 10.

Smith critiqued: The Japanese spicy nuggets are better than the chicken ones.

The news comes about after the Grammy award-winning music artist posted a video of himself and celeb friend Niall Horan biting into burgers together.

Smith looks directly into the camera and smiles as the pair chow down on their McDonalds orders.

Smith also revealed he frequents Japanese-inspired Asian food chain Wagamama.

In fact, he once fell asleep in the establishments toilets.

Speaking to Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast on Monday, he said: I fell asleep once in Amsterdam in a Wagamamas toilet. My friends were having dinner and I fell asleep.

It comes after the singer attended the British GQ awards in a pair of gorj Gucci heels last week, expressing his appreciation for the freedom to throw on a pair of heels and live his best life.

Smith wrote: As I was walking to my front door, I stopped and listened to my heels clonking against the floor.

And I just thought “F**K YES!!” There was a time where I thought Id never ever ever be able to be myself like this in front of the industry or anyone.
