Rockstar News: Red Dead 2 Online Release Update, GTA Online & Red Dead Redemption 2 Boost (Pic: ROCKSTAR GAMES)

Red Dead Redemption 2 has without a doubt been one of the standout games of 2018 so far, smashing a whole boatload of records in the process.

But over four weeks on from the release of the game, Rockstar are still waiting to release their online component of the game.

For fans waiting on Red Dead 2 Online, we wouldn't hold your breath for a release this week. Although, we wouldn't be surprised to see a trailer drop at the very least.

If you're wondering why we suspect that the American Thanksgiving holiday (on Thursday 22) could scupper any such release for this week at least.

That being said, we can envisage Rockstar releasing the first trailer for Red Dead 2 Online or even an overview of the mode as per the games past two trailers showcasing the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

If you're wondering why we think we could see a new trailer launched, it's largely because that's what Rockstar did with GTA in the past.

The online mode for GTA V launched weeks after the main game launched on Xbox 360 and PS3. But before Rockstar launched the mode itself, there was a dedicated trailer detailing what players could expect to see when playing.

As such, we're expecting to see a game trailer this week, ahead of release last week before the end of November.

Meanwhile, Rockstar's GTA Online is still continuing to pump out new content and this week, to celebrate the holiday period (Thanksgiving in the States), GTA Online players will receive a $750k bonus simply by logging in.

Better still, Rockstar say they will give players $100k for each additional day players log into the game until November 26th. Making a seven-day total bonus of GTA$1.35M bonus set to be delivered to Maze Bank accounts by December 3rd.

Added to this there are plenty more bonuses across some of the games latest modes with both Sumo (Remix) and Running Back (Remix) delivering double cash & RP through November 26th, along with Biker Work & Challenges and Biker Sell Missions.

Plus all Bodyguards & Associates taking part in organisation activities this week earn twice the pay for sticking by their employers.

There's also a LOT of discounts for premium Los Santos retailers, who are slashing up to 40% off an assortment of high-performance vehicles, from the lightning-quick Dewbauchee Vagner to the pulsing Nagasaki Shotaro as well as a collection of super class and motorsport favourites.
