Robin Wright is the leading lady in the sixth and final season of House Of Cards, following Kevin Spaceys dismissal.

The actor, who played Frank Underwood on the Netflix series, was fired after allegations of sexual assault and misconduct were made against him last year.

But Robin – who plays Franks wife Claire on the show – believes Spacey has the ability to reform, although she doesnt sound too confident.

Speaking to PorterEdit, the 52-year-old was asked whether the actor deserves a career reprieve.

Wright said: I dont know to comment on that, I really dont… I believe every human being has the ability to reform. Has the ability to reform.

She said: Everybody was afraid of losing their job, explaining that the show came very, very close to being cancelled.

Claire Underwood will now take centre stage in the operatic final series of House Of Cards, which is due to hit Netflix on 2 November with eight episodes.

Six investigations of sexual assault and misconduct have been opened in the UK against Spacey, with the Los Angeles District Attorneys office confirming they will also be looking into Spaceys case.

Earlier this month, Spaceys film Billionaire Boys Club – filming of which finished before the allegations came to light – was released in 10 cinemas across the US, scraping in a dismal $126 (£98) on its opening day.
