More Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay has leaked before launch (Pic: ROCKSTAR)
Red Dead Redemption 2 is released this Friday on PS4 and Xbox One. But let's be honest, you've probably known that for a while are poured over every new piece of gameplay footage the second it's released.
Only, you've probably not seen this gameplay footage before, because this latest sneak peek at the game has leaked ahead of time via a post on mixtape.
It's only 20 seconds long, but offers a brief glimpse at some new gameplay showing the main character, Arthur Morgan, being hunted by law enforcement.
A short-lived shootout ensues and afterwards, a bounty of $185 is placed on Arthur's head. Something that we're sure will catch up with the player at a later date.
You can take a look at the footage on the link above, or just below, for as long as it remains available. Although don't be surprised if it gets pulled. Or that you see more leaked tidbits ahead of the games highly anticipated released later this week.
It follows on from rumours this weekend that there was a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Release Date pencilled in for 2019.
However, these rumours were quickly debunked.
Speaking to Wccftech an official representative for the retailer, MediaMarkt, confirmed that the listing on the site was a placeholder, set live because the company believes Rockstar will eventually release the game on PC platforms.
"Its true we had the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version listed," said the rep. "I checked this with the games department at our HQ and got told that its something of a placeholder and that they count on it being announced sometime in the future (just as with GTA V for example). It is no longer listed as available for pre-purchase, though."
This isn't to say a PC release won't arrive one day. As mentioned previously, the evidence for a PC release is still compelling. It's just that for the time being the game is still only officially listed for PS4 and Xbox One.
Though the game is out this Friday, you might be wondering when you can start reading reviews for the game, before you put your hard earned money down.
According to Metacritic, the review aggregating site, reviews for Rockstar's next Red Dead Redemption game will start going live next Thursday, October 25.
Here's what the site tweeted to their followers:
"Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/XONE): Reviews will start going up on Thursday, October 25 at 4:01am Pacific. Any Metascore predictions for this HIGHLY anticipated title?"
If we're being completely honest though, you've probably made your mind up already if you're buying the game. It's ok, we understand.
