Red Dead Online BATTLE ROYALE confirmed: Multiplayer leak reveals RDR2 Make it Count mode (Pic: ROCKSTAR)

Red Dead Online is starting to go live around the world today ahead of a general rollout for anyone with a copy of the game this Friday.

But ahead of the game's Online portion going live, fans have already started to datamine the update file to uncover some special bytes of information about what's to come.

One of the biggest things we've seen uncovered via this datamine is that the previously leaked Battle Royale mode is, indeed, real.

The mode – called Make It Count – is a 32-player battle royale where players must fight to be the last one standing whilst staying within the bounds of a shrinking playable area.

The mode is just one of a suite of multiplayer modes that illogicalmods managed to uncover when searching through the game's Online files.

These modes all seem to revolve around a new in-game character called Horley that seems to be the mission-giver in Red Dead Online. As previously revealed, legacy locations from Red Dead Redemption will also be visitable, too – most notably locations south of the border, in Mexico.

Red Dead Online will also have campaign-inspired missions that look like they'll impart their own, separate narrative.

But when will you get to try out this new Online mode?

Red Dead Online is coming TODAY. Well, sort of. The beta will go live but not for everyone all at once.

In fact, the staggered launch means that over the course of the next four days, the Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer mode will have four completely separate launch windows.

It's believed that Rockstar has gone with this plan as a means of preventing the utter chaos that plagued the launch of GTA Online many years ago for GTA 5 fans.

And arguably, with an even bigger, more popular game such as Red Dead Redemption 2, it's plausible that the launch of Red Dead 2 Online could be even more massive and stressful for the Rockstar servers.

WHAT IS THE RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 ONLINE RELEASE TIME?

So here are the release times based on the day and requirements put forward by Rockstar Games:
