It looks like Trey Songz wont be charged in his felony assault case.

According to Page Six, the Los Angeles district attorney rejected the case after Trey Songzs attorney provided multiple compelling witnesses to the LAPD to dispute the rappers accuser. (RELATED: RAPPER TREY SONGZ TURNS HIMSELF IN ON DOMESTIC ABUSE CHARGE)

Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, has denied all allegations since he was first accused last month.

“For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me,” he wrote after being arrested in March. “I am being lied on and falsely accused for someones personal gain.”

Trey Songzs accuser, Andrea Buera, claims the rapper attacked her at an afterparty during NBA All Star week earlier this year. Buera says Trey Songz beat her so badly she went to the hospital to be treated for severe bruising and a concussion. She is being represented by prominent attorney Lisa Bloom.

Now that its been rejected, the domestic abuse case gets passed on to the Los Angeles City Attorney, wholl be responsible for deciding whether Trey Songz should get charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. The charge is less serious than a felony assault and would likely result in significantly less punishment.
