It looks like Sony Bend Studio, the people behind Days Gone, could be ramping things up for their next title. Given the commercial success of Days Gone, it makes sense that they would be looking to capitalise on it by making a sequel, so it seems very likely that this could be Days Gone 2. Days Goner?

Days Gone launched to a bit of a mixed reception, although our reviewer adored it, and sales suggest that most other people did too. None of those complicated feelings arose when it came to sales figures though, as it topped the charts when it released. This was more impressive given some of the competition it faced.

Well, this job posting on Linkedin suggests that the sequel is already underway. Advertising for a new producer, it seems like the second title is past the ideas stage, and could well be into proper production by now.

Given that it would be incredibly hard for the title to come out before the end of next year – games simply take longer to make than that – it's a safe bet to assume it will be coming to the next generation of consoles, which in this case would be the PS5, as it is a Sony exclusive.

Unless something weird happens and Sony gets bought out by Microsoft, which isn't likely to happen.

The job posting asks for a lot of things, like at least 5 years experience, but the description itself is really interesting, stating:

"We are seeking a Producer who will be relied upon to collaborate with senior producers, creative leads, and studio directors to develop, maintain and execute on project planning for your teams. You are the strategic thinker for your team, get out front and lead. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of project management, communication skills and a passion for making games. Help us create our next AAA title that will set the PS4 apart from the rest!"
