PS Plus April 2019 Update: Sony reveal excellent PlayStation Plus deal for PS4 and Spotify (Pic: SONY)

Sony will reveal their new PS Plus 'free' games for April 2019 later this week, with the announcement coming on March 27th, 2019, in line with the usual pattern of the last Wednesday of the month.

It's possible that in the meantime some details might leak, via Reddit or some other source online, but chances are Sony will keep these under wraps until the official trailer announcement on Wednesday.

Although, it's likely going to be a pretty decent pair of games, especially with PlayStation last month cutting their ties with PS Plus PS3 and PS Vita games on the PlayStation Plus list. There's a bit of extra incentive to make sure the PS4 games on offer aren't massively rubbish.

But we digress because on top of the announcement of the new games coming later this week, there's also a pretty decent offer for PS Plus users going on in the background which most PS4 users might not realise exists.

And best of all, this isn't exclusive to new users, but also anyone with an existing PS Plus subscription.

Right now, PlayStation is offering 10% off a monthly Spotify Premium subscription when bought through the PSN Store on your PS4.

The only thing you need to be wary of – and don't waste any time on this – the deal must be redeemed before 31st March 2019.

Why go premium?

If you sign up for Spotify Premium from your PS4 console, as well as a 10% saving, youll get:

  • No adverts. Just uninterrupted, unlimited music.
  • Download music. Save albums and playlists to your mobile device and listen to them anywhere – without needing a WiFi or data connection.
  • Unlimited skips. Work your way through millions of songs at your own pace.
  • Play any track. There are millions of them – all available to listen to on your PS4 or any other device.

How to sign up?

Step 1 – Download Spotify to your PS4. Youll find it on PlayStation Store, under the PlayStation Music tab.

Step 2 – Youll need to sign up and add your billing details via the PS4 app, where your 10% discount will be applied each month

Step 3 – Start using Spotify – Your Spotify Premium account will be active and ready for you to listen to in-game, on your PS4 and anywhere else you use Spotify.

Anything else?

You probably know the score by now that you can't get any sort of deal without some huge T&C's and this offer is no differnt.

You can read an abridged version below, but as far as we can see the only thing to note is that you must be 18 years or older and you can't use this deal with any other deals available.

You can read the important deets, just below:

To be eligible for this offer you must have a SEN account and be 18 years or older, and sign up for, or link an existing Spotify account in your name. Country restrictions apply. Offer not applicable to the purchase of Spotify from any platform other than the PS Store on PlayStation 4. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotional offer for Spotify. If you cancel your PS Plus membership, your Spotify membership will continue but any future recurring monthly subscription fees payable for Spotify will be charged at the then current full price of Spotify as shown on the PS Store. PS Plus membership and the Spotify membership purchased from the PS Store will continue indefinitely until cancelled and the recurring monthly membership fee for each service will be deducted from your SEN account wallet automatically. Your use of Spotify is subject to Spotify's T&Cs: www.spotify.com/legal/end-user-agreement/.
