Pokemon GO News: Shiny Alolan Marowak, Adventure Sync and Community Day November update (Pic: NIANTIC)

As the blog intro suggests, there's an awful lot of news that's been revealed overnight and we figured the best way to bring you that news as quick as possible was to pull it all together into one handy round-up.

And we'll start with the most exciting news, involving the release of the games latest shiny, involving Alolan Marowak.

The addition of the shiny Marowak is likely a surprise as part of the same Ingress Prime celebration event currently going on in the game.

Equally, for anyone who missed that particular slice of news, here's what we've been told:

"Pokemon GO will feature a celebratory in-game event where shiny green Cubone and shiny blue Ponyta will be available for capture."

The intention is to release two shiny pokemon who match the colours of the two main factions in Ingress (The Enlightened and The Resistance) who are colour coded green and blue.

Quite why Alolan Marowak is also available as a shiny when encountered after a Raid is a mystery. Especially since there is no Shiny Alolan Raichu.

Regardless, this has been independently verified on the Silph Road Sub-Reddit.

"Youll be able to stay active and earn Buddy Candy or hatch Eggs without significantly impacting your devices battery life." explains a Pokemon GO blog post.

"When your Buddy Pokémon has found Candy or when an Egg is about to hatch, you can enable to receive a push notification.

"As an added bonus, youll get weekly fitness reports to track your progress as well as earn rewards for reaching weekly milestones."

Finally, Pokemon GO players have learnt a little bit more information about the games forthcoming community day.

The November Pokemon GO Community Day gets underway this Saturday, November 10th, 2018 and will feature Cyndaquil as the headline pokemon available on the day.

Of course, this means we should also see a brand new trio of shiny Pokemon added to the game as well, with shiny Cyndaquil, Quilava and Typhlosion all available from Saturday.

However, last night the official Pokemon GO account also revealed the exclusive move that will be available to anyone who evolves a Quilava during the November Community Day.

The special move available will be the powerful Fire-type move Blast Burn. Whilst good news, Pokemon GO Hub warns that whilst Blast Burn is expected to improve Typhlosion, it will still not make it relevant enough in the FIRE meta.
