Pokémon GO – egging you on to play it again

Easter is only a few days away now and that means only one thing… a chance to hatch more pokémon than usual in Pokémon GO.

The Easter holidays are always an important time for Pokémon GO, what with the egg theme being a perfect way to remind you that the app is still one of the biggest things in the world.

This year’s Eggstravaganza (don’t blame us, that’s what they call it) is due to start on Thursday, March 22 at 8pm in the UK and will end on Monday, April 2 at 8pm.

During that time you’ll find that only 2km eggs are available from PokéStops, but pokémon that are usually only available in eggs that take longer to hatch – such as Wynaut or Ralts – can be hatched from the 2km eggs.

There’ll also be an increased hatch rate for certain pokémon, including super cute Pichu and the egg-shaped Togepi.

On top of that every egg hatched during the promotion will give you bonus candy, and double Stardust will be available at the same time.

And if you want to pay for stuff the in-game shop will have special boxes that include super incubators for your eggs and star pieces.

So if you’ve been getting behind on filling out your pokédex, particularly if it involves hatching eggs, then you’ve an ideal excuse to walk off all those extra pounds you’ll inevitably gain from all that Easter egg chocolate…
