PewDiePie has been named Youtubes highest earner after a new study estimated that the gamer and vlogger takes home over £6.5 million each month.

And heres us debating whether we can afford that Pret sandwich for lunch.

Sellfys YouTube Money Calculator looked at the worlds biggest Youtube channels and determined the highest and lowest amount their owners could be making through advertising and merchandise.

Pewdie, who has the second largest channel on the video sharing platform behind T-Series, topped the list by some way, earning nearly three times as much as his second-place competitor.

The calculator estimated that merchandise is the Swedish vloggers biggest source of income, accounting for £5.6 million of his monthly sales.

Revenue from Youtubes ad-scheme AdSense and brand deals make up another £900,000.

In second place sits sport and comedy channel Dude Perfect, who have over 44 million subscribers and earn an estimated £2.8 million each month.

Elsewhere, gaming channels pretty much dominate the list, with VanossGaming, DanTDM and jacksepticeye all taking top spots, while Jake and Logan Paul sit in13th and 14th position, with Jake just pipping his older brother to the post.

Theres only one woman on the list (insert disappointed, but not surprised GIF here), with comedian Jenna Marbles taking home over £500,000 every month. Not bad for someone whos been making videos since 2006.

Rising to fame on YouTube in 2012, Pewdie has had his fair share of struggles with fame, most recently opening up about his drinking problem.

He continued: I never felt like I had a period where I could chill at the end of the day. I was always so worked up and it was a lot of hard work so I was like, “Oh, Ill just have a drink at the end of the day.”
