Paul Bettany trolls Mark Ruffalo
I mean, the man grew up well (Pictures: REX/@MarkRuffalo)

Uh, Mark Ruffalo shared a childhood photograph on Twitter, and of course he got trolled by an Avengers costar – this time it was Paul Bettany.

Lets be real, unless youre Barack Obama or Cameron Diaz, who had freakishly good looking yearbook photos, youre familiar with the awkward childhood phase.

Think wonky fringe haircut from your mums friend, questionable wardrobe choices, and in the case of Mark Ruffalo, braces.

It happened to the best of us, okay?

The photograph features a wide-eyed young Ruffalo grinning a big ol mouth full of braces.

He shared the photograph on Twitter as a throwback Thursday contribution and people collectively squealed at the seismic shift of cuteness he unloaded onto the web.

He might as well have announced Let the games begin.

Bettany, who plays Vision in the Avengers films jumped on the opportunity to poke fun of his costar and he proceeded to change his profile picture to Ruffalos childhood picture.

The icing on top of the cake was that Bettany changed his Twitter bio, too.

I thought my teen years were rough, Bettanys bio reads, but then I saw Mark Ruffolos.

Yes, the 47-year-old actor spelled the Hulk stars name wrong. Was it an accident? Was it an on purpose?

Nobody knows, but Ruffalo didnt let it stand.

In a follow-up Tweet he corrected Bettany: Honored. P.S. Its RuffAlo… like buffalo but with an R!

This isnt the first time Ruffalo has engaged in a bit of banter online: Hes almost as bad at revealing spoilers as Tom Holland, and he tweeted the Russo Brothers back in October. Ruffalo faux-raged: This…and you fired me for a measly slip of the title? Spoiler alert!

Mark had been referring to an apparent slip up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he asked the host to cut out a so-called spoiler he had mentioned earlier.

The Russos followed up by firing him on Twitter.
