Luigi's Mansion 3

Luigis Mansion 3 – it will definitely be on the Direct, but what else will?

The first post-E3 Nintendo Direct is scheduled for Wednesday and its set to be a long one, at a weighty 40 minutes.

Despite the length, Nintendo has warned that the new Direct will focus on games that are out this year – with the only ones mentioned by name being Pokémon Sword/Shield and Luigis Mansion 3.

That doesnt mean they wont talk about things like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or even Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4, but its probably best to assume not and be pleasantly surprised if they do.

The Direct is due to start at 11pm BST, so it wont end till almost midnight. The late start means its been organised to please the U.S., which tends to imply its one of the more important ones.

What is more likely is that theyll reveal the fourth Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter, which Nintendo themselves recently seemed to give away is a SNK character.

There are also rumours that Banjo and Kazooie might be ready to launch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sooner than expected, which could take up a fair bit of the running time.

Another rumour today also claims a remaster of Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is soon to be announced for Switch and could well be out this year.
